Sightline Commercial Solutions – which fabricates and supplies architectural railing and portable platform solutions – has attained Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) across its entire line of aluminium guardrail and handrail products.
EPDs are independently verified reports that provide transparent, comparable data about a product’s environmental impact. Developed in accordance with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Standard 14025, they assess a product’s entire lifecycle, from raw material sourcing to disposal. Sightline said it pursued EPDs for its railing products to empower commercial building professionals with reliable metrics for selecting sustainable materials and meeting green building standards like LEED and WELL.

With the achievement of EPD certification, Sightline now offers a wide range of guardrail and handrail solutions designed to combine sustainability, aesthetic appeal and structural integrity. These include Tensiline cable railing; Gridguard mesh railing; Classic picket railing; Ascent and Expanse windscreens; Griprail; Standing Rail; Seating Rail and Drink Rail.
“Achieving EPD certification across our aluminium railing portfolio is a significant step in our ongoing pledge to minimise environmental impact,” said Jon Chase, chief engineering officer at Sightline Commercial Solutions. “These declarations are instantly recognised and actively sought out by eco-minded architects and specifiers. By combining cutting-edge technology with sustainable practices, we empower our clients to make informed decisions for a more sustainable future.”
Sightline Commercial Solutions specialises in architectural railing, metal, glazing and portable platform solutions for the commercial, sports venue, live entertainment and performing arts industries.
