Follow-Me – a Dutch manufacturer of 3D performer tracking solutions for the AV and entertainment industries – has announced the launch of its Track-iT Weatherproof Anchor. This brand-new product will be showcased by Entedi, Follow-Me’s UK sales partner, at the PLASA Show, to be held at Olympia London on 1-3 September.
Follow-Me shares that the Track-iT Weatherproof Anchor is designed to integrate seamlessly with Follow-Me Track-iT systems, using ultra-wideband technology, multiple anchors are strategically positioned to pinpoint tags placed on the performer, building on scalability and improving tracking capabilities in outdoor environments.
The Track-iT Weatherproof Anchor has an IP65 rating and is designed to withstand anything from dust to downpours. The units are built to perform reliably in a variety of conditions, and meet rigorous safety and performance standards – FCC certified for use in the USA and CE marked for use in the European Union and UK.
For follow-spot tracking, Follow-Me products can control a whole variety of lighting equipment, including moving heads and conventional fixtures with its Proximity feature, enabling these fixtures to light up based on the position of the performer on stage.
Follow-Me technology includes 3D stage mapping and camera calibration, so the system can recognise changes in height, and objects to avoid, identified in the stage area. Follow-Me says that whether used for a small outdoor stage or a large venue, the system is flexible and scalable to meet the unique needs of any event.
