The first resort to be built on the Las Vegas Strip in more than a decade opened to the public on 24 June. Among its facilities, Resorts World Las Vegas features a 5,000-capacity entertainment venue, where concerts are scheduled to begin later in 2021.
The entertainment venue is outfitted to host everything from concerts to conventions, corporate functions and sporting events. The multilevel venue has been designed by Scéno Plus to provide an intimate, high-energy experience with great comfort, unobstructed sightlines and an immersive audio experience. The furthest seat is 150ft (45.7m) from the stage.
The joint development between Resorts World Las Vegas and AEG Presents will be programmed and operated by Concerts West. Exclusive engagements with Celine Dion (from 5 November 2021) , Carrie Underwood (from 1 December 2021), Katy Perry (from 29 December 2021) and Luke Bryan (from 11 February 2022) have been announced.
Resorts World Las Vegas was developed by Genting Berhad. Through a partnership with Hilton, the resort offers 3,500 guest rooms and suites across three Hilton brands.
“We are thrilled to unveil Resorts World Las Vegas – an incredible property that marks the return of our signature Hilton hospitality on the Strip,” said Chris Nassetta, president and CEO of Hilton. “Together, Hilton, Genting and Resorts World Las Vegas are committed to delivering unforgettable experiences for our guests, and this new resort raises the bar for Las Vegas.”
Technological highlights at the resort include mobile check-in and digital keys via the Hilton Honors app, allowing for a contactless arrival experience; and an AI-powered digital concierge named Red. The resort has more than 200,000ft² (18,581m²) of LED displays, including a 100,000ft² (9,290m²) West Tower LED screen.
Guests can use a Grubhub app to order from the resort’s 40 food and beverage outlets and select retail shops for pickup or delivery, charging the cost to their room or credit card. They can send orders to their rooms or to the resort’s 5.5-acre pool complex.
There is 117,000ft² (10,870m²) of casino gaming space. Guests can pay for gaming, entertainment or hotel offerings through an app, and check their Genting Rewards account balances, receive offers and rewards and stay connected to the array of amenities.
In partnership with Zouk Group, the resort features various nightlife experiences, including Zouk Nightclub and Ayu Dayclub. There is approximately 70,000ft² (6,503m²) of dedicated retail space; a 27,000ft² (2,508m²) spa experience due to open later this summer; and 250,000ft² (23,226m²) of flexible meeting and banquet space complete with 50 multifunctional meeting rooms. The resort will debut a connector station to the Las Vegas Convention Center and Vegas Loop via an underground transportation system, later this summer.
