The organisers of Prolight + Sound will host a second digital BIZLounge on 14 June 2021. The online event debuted in April 2021. It is intended to enable professionals to keep abreast of topical subjects in the entertainment technology industry, before and after the fair.
Particular attention is being paid to trends and technologies in the theatre sector and sustainable activities in the events business. Additionally, manufacturers will introduce new solutions in detailed video presentations while Messe Frankfurt reveals specific information about the next Prolight + Sound, which is scheduled to open its doors on 26-29 April 2022 in Frankfurt, Germany.
The content partners for the BIZLounge include Adam Hall, Artthea, Computerworks, ETC, HOF Alutec, KS Audio, Robe and SGM. Also involved in the programme are the EVVC and VPLT trade associations, Frankfurt Opera and event company L&S.
There is no charge for being part of the BIZLounge, which offers over three hours of condensed, topical information from the events sector. The whole programme is in English and thus aimed at professionals from all over the world. The video première takes place at 10:00am CEST on 14 June.
The BIZLounge programme
After a long lean spell in the event business, Prolight + Sound aims to make its contribution to an economic upswing in the industry. At the same time, the trade fair supports the sector’s commitment to responsible use of natural resources. In connection with this, a new on-side format is planned for the 2022 event. Together with partners, the organisers will explain the plans during a BIZLounge panel discussion. The participants include Mira Wölfel, director of Prolight + Sound, Timo Feuerbach, CEO at EVVC, and Tobias Berghaus, CEO at L&S.
There will also be a roundtable on trends and challenges facing manufacturers. They have developed a variety of strategies for dealing with the pandemic and are getting ready for a high level of demand for events in the post-COVID era. Michael Herweg, CEO of SGM Deutschland, Björn Heinzmann, CEO of HOF Alutec, Michael Schwabe, CEO of Artthea Bühnentechnik, and Dieter Klein, CEO of KS Audio, will discuss current challenges and general trends emerging in the sector.
Another presentation and roundtable will focus on theatre lighting trends. In a lecture, Herbert Bernstädt, lighting specialist at Adam Hall Group, will present the latest trends and ideas in the theatre segment. This will be followed by a discussion with other experts from the business. As well as Bernstädt, the participants include Randell Greenlee, responsible for business and international affairs at VPLT, and Olaf Winter, lighting designer and technical director for Oper Frankfurt.
Technological presentations
Additionally, the BIZLounge is an audio-visual showroom for technological trends. In video presentations, brands including Computerworks, ETC, HOF Alutec and Robe will present their solutions. The focus is on user-related introductions.
