Adam Shulman, market category lead for installed systems at Bose Professional, tells Auditoria about the company’s biggest achievements for 2019, what this year holds and his personal highlights from the past 12 months.
What does your role entail on a day-to-day basis?
I lead the team at Bose Professional that focuses on the installed market category. This includes overseeing our product managers and the development of new products, ensuring our installation roadmap aligns with the current and future needs of the market. It also includes the opportunity to coordinate with our marketing, sales and engineering teams to ensure that we are working together to deliver not only great products to our design and integration partners, but great value in all aspects of doing business with us.
What was Bose Professional’s biggest achievement of 2019?
The most significant achievement for Bose Professional was the introduction of our Installed Sound Expansion family of products. We listened to our partners and what they needed and delivered the solutions to meet the needs of a wide range of installation projects – small, large, simple and complex. This means more loudspeakers, amplifiers and digital processors that reflect the latest in audio technology and design aesthetics.
What has been a personal highlight from the past 12 months?
The Installed Sound Expansion was a personal highlight for me as well. This represented not only developing many new loudspeakers, amplifiers and controls all at the same time, but also required a massive amount of both internal and external cooperation to ensure that this resulted in a comprehensive, integrated solutions offering that made sense to the system designer and installer when looked at as a whole.
What does 2020 hold for Bose Professional?
You can expect us to continue on this trend of building a more complete catalogue of solutions that not only moves the needle from a technical standpoint, but continues to more tightly integrate components together in systems that are easier to design, install and use. It’s a new decade and our industry shows no signs of slowing down. Keep your eye on Bose Professional in 2020.
